Für Unternehmen stellt sich damit die Frage, ob und wann ein Wechsel sinnvoll ist. Wir zeigen, was sich verändert, welche Vorteile Cloud Sync bietet und worauf bei einer möglichen Migration zu achten ist.** **1. Das Wichtigste in kürze:** - Microsoft hat den schrittweisen Übergang von Entra Connect Sync zu Entra Cloud Sync bereits eingeleitet. Was ist Microsoft Entra Cloud Sync?** Cloud Sync erfüllt grundsätzlich denselben Zweck wie Entra Connect: Benutzer, Gruppen, Kontakte und weitere Identitätsinformationen aus dem lokalen Active Directory werden mit Microsoft Entra ID synchronisiert. Pilot definieren: Cloud Sync mit einem klar abgegrenzten Bereich testen und die Ergebnisse validieren. 4. Schrittweise migrieren: Organisatorische Einheiten kontrolliert umstellen. Dieselben Objekte dürfen nicht gleichzeitig durch beide Sync-Lösungen verwaltet werden. 5. Entra Connect erst danach zurückbauen: Die bestehende Plattform erst deaktivieren, wenn Synchronisation und abhängige Funktionen erfolgreich geprüft wurden. Microsoft empfiehlt für die Übergangsphase eine klare Objekt- bzw. Entscheidend ist, ob die vorhandenen Anforderungen bereits vollständig abgedeckt werden. - Kurzfristig sollten Unternehmen ihre Entra-Connect-Version aktuell und unterstützt halten. Parallel dazu empfiehlt sich eine Readiness-Prüfung für Cloud Sync.
