Die betroffenen Chiphersteller waren neben Intel auch teilweise AMD und ARM. Es wurden zwei Schwachstellen identifiziert. Eine der Attacken hebelte grundlegende Mechanismen zwischen Programmen und Betriebssystemen aus.
